Movie: Avatar

Interpretation:
Obviously this movie is about environment and the freedom of living organisms, but I see so much more going on here. First off I want to point out that Jakes character is similar to say Jaguar Paw's from Apocalypto. He wakes up, he runs from a black cat like creature, faces death, is blue or gets painted blue, hides in a tree, jumps in a river and overcomes the enemy. The big difference is that in one the foreigners arrive and in Avatar the invaders leave. Looking at it that way the movie appears to be highlighting the destiny of an important person that will change a world, in this case Pandora. Also notice that Avatar like so many of these wake up movies as I call them because of the distinctive wake up scene has twins; Jake replaces his twin brother. The scene where Jake is surrounded by the pure spirits or the flying seeds is symbolic of Ewa choosing him as a type of Messiah for that planet and all life on it. Notice how he has the down arrow painted on his forehead which is symbolic for reception known in Kabbalah circles. It appears he is the receiver that can talk to Ewa and even tame one of it's most powerful predators using this receptive ability. Following the Kabbalah thread you will notice that connection becomes a key part of his spiritual journey as he has to physically connect to creatures using his hair tentacle thingy. As he connects to creatures he seems to have a mini orgasm and even Dr Grace tells him not to play with it or he will go blind. It appears that the movie refers to this non sexual organ to be a form of connection that is used to establish a bond. It may be that the creators where hinting towards sex being a form of spiritual connection, but that is purely speculative. The tree of souls seems to be a reference to the tree of life, but again I may be stretching since it's not an exact parallel. The very name Avatar when looked at through the eyes of Hinduism is a kind of reference to an Avatar of Vishnu which so happens to be a blue being that sends an avatar to a world to bring righteousness, back to the social and cosmic order. The movie Avatar seems to fit that description well. Now look at it from a Sumerian Annunaki perspective where giant beings came to our planet and mined earth for precious metals. Only in Avatar the Navi are the super strong giants and we are the invaders mining the planet for unabtanium. Taking that Sumerian view further makes Turuk Maktao a very interesting creature as it is a large red dragon that is the symbol of Marduk and the same creature that Gregory the great's statue is standing on in the Vatican. Marduk's goal was to free humanity and embrace Earth's natural treasures. The allegory is deep and speaks volumes to me probably just because of what I know.
