  This movie was based on the novel of the same title by Michael Cunningham. I like the script of this movie. Most people find it gloomy and depressing but I think it's about when someone feels that life is not working out for them anymore especially when they're sad or sick. The hours never end and you just want to end the pain inside. It's like what Virginia Woolf's character said that I'm living a life i have no wish to live.

  I fully agree with realitysuspension. And only a person who has experience real depression would understand. The hours pass, but they are all the same. They are all empty. And like frozen. NOt going anywhere.
