  This expertly made film is all about the detriments of addiction. At first it seems that it is just about drugs, but it is about more. It's not only the drugs (heroin, LSD, weed, the list goes on and on), but also about addiction weight loss (as shown by the mother). This brilliant addition of the mother's downward spiral expands the meaning to put a taboo on addiction of any kind.
