While there are many theories about the interpretation of Alice In Wonderland, there some agreement on the main themes I see:
1.A childhood transition into adulthood,
2.Accepting the change that is around us and in us,
3.Leaving reality of others and stepping into yours.
4.Trusting the wildest impossibilities as only dreamers know.
What you make of these themes, or see in how these characters act out their stuff, the meanings you make of this movie should be yours.

That's a mark of someone who wasn't paiyng attention to what they were seeing. There were only a couple blondes, and only one in a schoolgirl uniform. The rest of the cast ranges from Hispanic to Asian to white girls witth different hair colours in burlesque variants of military uniforms and Expendables-esque combat getups. Each of the characters has their own theme, for the most part, and the main character's shtick was that she looked like a little kid. As much as people say that seems like an exploitative fantasy, in the context of the movie it fit with the you are stronger than you think you are and you need to stand up for yourself theme that seemed to be a central pillar of the story.I'll put it out there too, that as much as it's being written off as male nerd pandering , it wasn't the usual hot girls all get naked and make out and act like someone's sex fantasy dolls . They were combat showgirls, they throw punches and they take punches and they keep on punching. They were tough girls who carry big guns and pilot battle mechs and don't fall apart when they take a hit. It wasn't pandering as much as people might think, since a lot of guys seems to be disappointed that it was't over-the-top fantasy fodder.
